Role Contour – The job requires a skilled and experienced Litigation Counsel to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will handle a wide range of corporate, consumer and other litigation matters, providing strategic legal advice and representation to the company



Litigation Management

Create and run overall litigation management strategy for the company

• Drafting and reviewing writ petition, plaints, written statements, counter affidavits, interim applications, other submissions, and end to end management of ongoing litigation.

• Co-ordinate with external counsels for seeking legal advice, opinions, drafting / reviewing litigation related documentation.

• Drafting and reviewing replies to legal notices issued to the company.


Documentation

Drafting, reviewing and negotiating agreements to be executed by the company.

• Closely work with external counsels for seeking legal opinions, drafting / reviewing documents on commercial matters


Advisory and Reporting

• Advising internal stakeholders on litigation cases • Assisting in formulation of internal strategies and policies, from a litigation perspective • Internally report litigation cases, including regular update to the relevant internal committees and preparation of committee papers in relation thereto




Accountabilities-

•Manage and oversee corporate, consumer and other litigation cases, including commercial disputes and internal investigations related thereto.

•Draft, review, and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.

•Represent the company in court, arbitration, and mediation proceedings.

•Collaborate with external legal counsels as necessary.

•Devise strategy for managing and reducing litigation.

•Advise senior management on litigation risks and strategies.

•Manage internal and regulatory reporting of litigation cases.

•Draft and review reply to legal notices addressed to the company.

•Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

•Drafting, reviewing and negotiating agreements and other documents related to products and internal departments of the company. •Closely work with external counsels for seeking legal opinions, drafting / reviewing documents on commercial and policy matters



Technical Skills

• Good technical skills in creating strategy for litigation management and minimize risks arising from litigation. • Drafting, reviewing litigation documents and carrying out research. • Capability to manage matters independently without regular involvement of the supervisor, good communication skills, and highlighting key issues to stakeholders.


Knowledge:

Strong understanding of relevant laws and regulations, such as privacy laws, consumer protection laws, intellectual property laws, and industry-specific regulations. Functional Skills: • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. • Strong negotiation and communication skills. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. • Detail-oriented with a high degree of integrity and professionalism
