Job Description:

Unipro Techno Infrastructure Pvt Ltd is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing and streamlining the procurement process, ensuring the smooth fulfilment of project requirements, and coordinating site visits for audit purposes. The Procurement Manager will be based at our headquarters and will be responsible for engaging with vendors, negotiating contracts, and maintaining relationships to support our projects effectively.


Key Responsibilities:


1.     Procurement Process Management:

o  Oversee the entire procurement process, from sourcing to delivery, ensuring efficiency and adherence to company policies and procedures.

o  Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet project requirements and objectives.

o  Collaborate with project managers to understand project needs and timelines, and proactively address procurement challenges.


2.     Vendor Management:

o  Identify, assess, and onboard new vendors to expand the company's supplier network.

o  Maintain relationships with existing vendors, negotiating contracts, and resolving issues as they arise.

o  Evaluate vendor performance based on quality, cost, delivery, and service, and implement improvement plans as needed.


3.     Technical Expertise:

o  Possess a strong technical background, preferably in engineering, to effectively communicate with vendors and understand the technical specifications of products and materials.

o  Engage in technical discussions with vendors to ensure alignment between project requirements and supplier capabilities.


4.     Compliance and Audit:

o  Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies throughout the procurement process.

o  Plan and coordinate site visits for audit purposes, working closely with internal stakeholders and external auditors to ensure transparency and accuracy.


5.     Team Collaboration:

o  Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project management, engineering, finance, and operations, to ensure seamless integration of procurement activities with project execution.

o  Provide guidance and support to team members involved in the procurement process, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.


Desired Qualifications:

o  Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; advanced degree or certification in Procurement or Supply Chain Management is a plus.

o  Minimum 8 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the construction or infrastructure industry, with a proven track record of success.

o  Strong technical acumen, with the ability to understand and discuss technical specifications with vendors.

o  Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.

o  Proficiency in procurement software and tools, and a strong understanding of procurement best practices.

o  Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

o  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
