Role: Automation Engineer (Java + Appium) - Healthcare/ MedTech domain (Preferred)

Location : Hyderabad, TG On-payroll of Innominds software
Mode of work: Work from office from Day1

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, and document mobile application testing across Android and iOS platforms.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute automated mobile test scripts using Appium with Java and Python.
  • Perform REST API testing using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or custom Python-based test frameworks.
  • Write, update, and manage detailed test cases, test plans, and traceability matrices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (developers, product, compliance, and regulatory) to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
  • Execute manual testing when needed, especially for exploratory, edge case, or pre-release validation.
  • Ensure all testing complies with relevant regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, ISO 13485, IEC 62304, 21 CFR Part 11).
  • Contribute to root cause analysis, defect reporting, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in QA engineering with a strong focus on mobile application testing.
  • Hands-on experience with Appium for mobile test automation.
  • Proficiency in Java and Python programming.
  • Strong experience testing REST APIs using tools and frameworks like Postman, RestAssured, or requests in Python.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Git).

Understanding of quality and compliance requirements in the MedTech/healthcare domain.
