• Manage OpenShift Container Platform-
This includes managing container tenant provisioning, isolation, and capacity.
• Assist Developers deploying applications from external registries
• Sound knowledge on AWS EFS storage class is required.
• Create Static / Dynamic persistent volumes and Persistent volume claims for application deployment.
• Provide guidance to developer teams to enable connectivity from external entities for internet facing applications.
• Configure observability for OpenShift on AWS
• Tune the machine config pools as required. Configure node and pod autoscaling.
• Perform user and RBAC administration.
Create cluster roles and project roles adhering to zero trust policy.
• Collaborate with Red Hat SREs and Networking team to configure networking components.
• Patch Management: Apply any necessary patches and updates to the ROSA cluster components, including OpenShift and AWS infrastructure.
• Regularly test backup and disaster recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and the ability to restore the cluster in case of a failure or disaster.
• Configure pod scheduling and cluster scaling.
• Monitoring and Reviewing Cluster Health periodically.
• Managing Resources (CPU, memory, storage) to ensure efficient allocation and plan for scaling if necessary.
• Perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate any potential security risks.
• Respond to and resolve any issues reported by users or detected through monitoring. This may involve debugging applications or investigating system-level issues.
• Performance Optimization - Continuously optimize cluster performance by tuning configurations, adjusting resource limits.
• Extend the capacity of cluster by extending the number of worker nodes or by changing the EC2 instance type.
• Review and ensure Log forwarding to Splunk Cloud for required applications.
