Overview:In this role as a Principal Engineer (Product Technical Lead, Advanced Structures) actively participate in NPI, redesign and sustenance activities of Electronics design, development, verification, and validation especially power electronics.Position: Principal Engineer (P4)Primary Responsibilities: PTLResponsible for the Electronic Product Development Lifecycle and its executionUnderstand stakeholder requirements, effectively plans and executes to meet these and delight customersCollaborates with System Architect, discipline leads and Project Manager to define the Delivery/Release Plan based on the customer requirementsDefines the entry/exit criteria for each major milestone including list of deliverablesDevelops and Maintains strategic partnerships with customers, stakeholders, and peersNegotiates the with customer / stake holders on risks, delivery plans and entry/exit criteriaAct as a moderator in bringing synergy among product development teamsResponsible for product delivery and Quality productTechnical/product level decision making capabilities and define prioritiesCollaboration with cross functional teams like Systems, Electronics, Software, Firmware, Program, Mechanical, Test, etc.Work with program focal for Scope Management, Risk Management, Change Management, and CostWork with Functional managers for resource profilingLead project / Program reviews with Larger Program Teams through events such as PDR,CDR and TRLs.Responsible for project estimation working closely with Program manager and other Leadership.Responsible to seamlessly guide a technical team towards scope and resolving intra-functional and inter-functional conflicts for unified project team goal.Responsible to coordinate with supply chain/sourcing and regulatory authorities for hardware development Globally.Coordinate with various stakeholders to meet producibility /production cost objective of the assigned program.Participate in technical negotiations with global partners and customers to maintain program scope.Work with manufacturing team for production transfer.Basic Qualifications:11 to 13 years of Industry experience with experience in Systems/Electronics product developmentBE/B-tech/MTech in Electronics/electrical disciplineSolid communication, writing skills and teaming skills are a must.Good knowledge/understanding of product qualification based on DO-160 or equivalent industry standard.Electronic design background with electronic product design & technical leadership experience is preferredKnowledge of DO-178 and DO-254 is an added advantageAbility to understand detailed design analysis against worst case variations and comprehensively prove performance of design to requirements.Collins Aerospace, a Raytheon Technologies company, is a leader in technologically advanced and intelligent solutions for the global aerospace and defense industry.
