Eligibility Criteria To be considered for Transgrid’s Apprentice Program, you’ll need to meet the following requirements: Education : Completion of Year 10 (or equivalent) by the end of 2026, with sound maths and communication skills. Career Interest : A genuine desire to pursue a trade in the high-voltage electricity transmission industry. Licence : A current driver’s licence or willingness to obtain one shortly after starting. Personal Attributes : Environmentally and socially responsible, motivated, a strong team player, and eager to learn. Skills : Clear communicator, collaborative, lateral thinker, and able to contribute to innovative solutions. Cultural Awareness : Respectful of and sensitive to diversity and inclusion. Residency : Must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or a New Zealand citizen. Mobility & Availability : Willing and able to travel and work away from home as needed, and available to commence in January 2027 . Physical Requirements : Ability to work at heights and in/on plant and equipment, noting a maximum weight limit of 140kg for safety compliance of approved ladders. Screening:  Our recruitment team will assess your application and inform you if you are unsuccessful.
