Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to manage and support data engineer role. This role focuses on configuring, executing, and monitoring ETL pipelines, performing data analytics, and managing AWS-based infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of ETL tools, scripting languages, and AWS CLI, with a strong focus on troubleshooting and optimizing data workflows.


Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain Java Spark and Ruby-based ETL pipelines.
  • Configure and execute ETL processes in a production environment.
  • Perform basic automation tasks using Bash and Ruby scripting.
  • Conduct AWS infrastructure management via AWS CLI.
  • Support SQL-based data analytics tasks, leveraging tools like Athena.
  • Assist with basic data engineering and data engineer tasks at scale.


Skillset

Mandatory:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related fields.
  • 5+ years of experience in ETL processes and data engineer.
  • Proficiency in Ruby, Java Spark, and Bash scripting.
  • Working knowledge of AWS CLI and Athena.
  • Basic understanding of data engineering principles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


Preferred:

  • Exposure to DevOps tools and practices.
  • Familiarity with data orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Prefect).
  • Understanding of big data frameworks like Spark or Hadoop.
