About the RoleWe are looking for a Backend Engineer with deep expertise in Laravel and PHP to maintain and migrate existing applications into a React Native environment. This role requires not only strong technical skills but also the ability to work within a team, write clear documentation, and leave well-noted code so other developers can continue the project smoothly.ResponsibilitiesDevelop, maintain, and optimize backend systems using Laravel & PHP.Design and document REST APIs to support React Native front-end applications.Migrate legacy PHP/Laravel systems into scalable, modular structures.Write well-documented code with clear notes and comments for team collaboration.Collaborate with designers, front-end developers, and mobile engineers to ensure seamless integration.Implement secure authentication, caching, and performance optimization.Conduct code reviews and mentor team members on backend best practices.Qualifications3+ years of backend development experience with Laravel & PHP.Strong understanding of MVC architecture, Eloquent ORM, Blade templates, and Laravel ecosystem.Hands-on experience with My SQL/Postgre SQL (database design, query optimization).Ability to create clean, documented, and maintainable code.Familiarity with React Native or React.js (to support integration/migration projects).Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, or cloud environments.Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.Team-oriented mindset with proven collaboration skills.Nice to HaveExperience migrating from monolithic to microservices.Exposure to Node.js or other modern backend frameworks.Knowledge of mobile app performance optimization.Why Join Us?Work on impactful migration projects modernizing legacy systems.Join a collaborative international team with growth opportunities.Fully remote role with flexible working culture.
