About the Role:
The Analyst - Taxation will learn, execute and manage tax and related processes, dealings, transactions and filings for all GCX entities including direct, GST/VAT, Sales and use taxes in US, Regulatory tax etc. The role will coordinate with colleagues in other internal teams such as Finance, as well as external advisors globally to manage workstreams and, for external, billing. The role will lead to responsibility for the co-ordination and control of the flow of information and utilization of third-party expertise to prepare and file returns, make tax payments and manage tax exposures correctly and on a timely basis. The role will include managing tax exemption status (e.g. fiscal residence certificates). Applicants should be well organized (scheduling work and tasks to tight deadlines), enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, keen to learn from highly experienced internal tax experts and able to communicate directly with colleagues and third parties in a confident and organized manner.
Responsibilities:
- Assistance with preparation of direct and indirect tax returns of all GCX Entities (over 50 entities in 30 jurisdictions)- Support 100% tax compliance of all entities- Monitor and schedule tax compliance calendar- Tax cash monitoring- Ensure tax payments are made on time and recorded- Filing, data warehousing, and document retention support- Managing advisory invoice receipt, processing and payment- Tax audit and litigation assistance- Transfer pricing assistance- Year end and reporting assistance- Tax research- Tax exemption assurance- Tax assistance with group projects
Qualifications:
- Qualified Chartered Accountant, M. Com, MBA/PGDM, or B. Com- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in direct, indirect, and international taxation- Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, direct and indirect taxes- Familiarity with entity accounts and transfer pricing- Proficient in Excel- Knowledge of ERP systems, preferably Oracle or SAP
