About the Role :


We are seeking an experienced Murex Risk Lead to manage risk modules within the Murex platform and drive end-to-end risk management processes.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in market and credit risk, hands-on experience with Murex implementation, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams in high-pressure environments.

Key Responsibilities :


Implementation & Configuration :


- Oversee the configuration of Murex's Risk and Limits modules (e., VAR, sensitivities, scenario analysis).

- Customize market and credit risk models as per business requirements.

- Design and optimize risk measures, reports, and dashboards using Murex tools.

Project Leadership & Stakeholder Management :


- Lead the Murex risk stream during implementation and upgrade projects.

- Collaborate with business, IT, and external vendors to gather requirements and deliver solutions.

- Provide leadership in troubleshooting and resolving Murex-related issues.

Risk Analysis & Reporting :


- Implement processes for real-time and end-of-day risk calculations.


- Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks (e., Basel III).

- Generate detailed reports on risk exposure and limits for internal teams and external stakeholders.

Team Management & Training :


- Guide and mentor junior Murex consultants and risk analysts.

- Conduct training sessions on Murex modules and risk methodologies.

Required Skills & Qualifications :


- 5+ years of experience in Murex Risk modules (market risk, credit risk, VAR, sensitivities).


- Hands-on Murex experience in configuration, scripting, and troubleshooting.

- Deep understanding of financial instruments (bonds, derivatives, FX, etc.

- Proficiency with SQL, XML, and Unix scripting for Murex operations.

- Strong knowledge of Basel regulations and risk management frameworks.

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with business users and technology teams.

- Team leadership experience in Murex-related projects or banking environments.

Preferred Qualifications :


- Murex certification in risk or front-office modules.

- Experience in large-scale Murex upgrade or implementation projects.

- Understanding of cloud infrastructure and DevOps for Murex environments.
