Job Description: Chartered Accountant
Role & Responsibilities
Financial Reporting and Analysis:
Prepare and analyze comprehensive financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Utilize advanced financial software tools for data analysis and financial reporting.
Provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve financial performance.
Manage all aspects of financial accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans to support strategic decision-making.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure adherence to financial regulations and reporting requirements as mandated by regulatory bodies such as the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).
Stay informed about changes in financial regulations and tax legislation.
Conduct audits of financial statements and internal controls to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
Tax Planning and Compliance:
Demonstrate expertise in direct tax, indirect taxation, corporate taxation, international taxation, transfer pricing, and tax audits.
Oversee tax planning and compliance activities, including income tax, TDS, GST, and other applicable taxes.
Optimize the company’s tax liabilities within the legal framework.
Collaborate with clients on tax planning and compliance matters, and provide expert advice on taxation issues.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Develop, monitor, and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
Provide strategic guidance on financial decision-making based on projections.
Identify business process risks and recommend actionable solutions for risk mitigation.
Financial Due Diligence:
Conduct financial due diligence for potential fundraises or partnerships.
Identify and manage financial risks, including credit risk, market risk, and operational risk.
Monthly Book Closure:
Oversee the monthly book closure process and prepare management information systems (MIS) reports.
Reconciliation:
Perform reconciliations for loans, GST, TDS, and other financial aspects.
Compliance with Accounting Standards:
Ensure adherence to applicable accounting standards in all financial reporting and accounting practices.
Accounting and Data Entry:
Demonstrate proficiency in accounting and passing entries in Tally or other accounting software.
Filing of Returns:
Manage the filing of TDS, GST, income tax returns, and other statutory returns.
General Responsibilities:
Work independently or as part of a team, managing multiple clients simultaneously.
Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Identify opportunities for cost control and efficiency improvements across various business aspects.
Conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support decision-making.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
Must be a qualified Chartered Accountant.
Should possess 2 or more years of relevant experience.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Proficiency in financial software tools and accounting software like Tally.
Excellent understanding of financial regulations, tax laws, and accounting standards.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage client relationships effectively.
