Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Head of Generative AI to lead and manage our team of skilled data and AI scientists specializing in machine learning. As the Head of Machine Learning, you will play a crucial role in shaping our organization’s AI strategy, driving innovation, and ensuring the successful deployment of cutting-edge models. Your expertise will directly impact our business outcomes and contribute to our growth.

Responsibilities:

  1. Leadership and Strategy:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive AI strategy aligned with our business goals.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of applied AI specialists, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate generative and predictive Artificial Intelligence solutions into our products and services.
  1. Multi-Modal Models and Advanced AI Technologies:
  • Utilize GCP Gemini multi-modal models and open-source large language models (LLMs) to build innovative solutions and use cases.
  • Fine-tune state-of-the-art LLMs for specific tasks and applications.
  • Customize LLMs and foundation models using supervised tuning, reinforcement learning, and distillation techniques within the GCP environment.
  • Integrate advanced AI technologies such as Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and function calling to enhance LLM capabilities.
  1. Model Development and Deployment:
  • Hands-on experience in building end-to-end machine learning models and generative AI workflows.
  • Proficiency in fetching data from structured and unstructured data sources to design and develop AI/ML models using Gemini, Hugging Face models, Python, TensorFlow, Keras etc.
  • Strong knowledge of LLMs, fine-tuning, transformer architecture, regression, classification, forecasting, unsupervised learning, reinforcement learning, and natural language processing algorithms.
  • Expertise in deep learning, transfer learning, computer vision, and state-of-the-art Transformer and BERT-based models.
  • Implement CI/CD and MLOps best practices for model deployment and automation of ML pipelines.
  1. Evaluation and Performance Metrics:
  • Develop and implement robust evaluation metrics to measure the performance and effectiveness of LLMs and other models.
  • Continuously monitor model performance and iterate on improvements.
  1. Industry Awareness and Innovation:
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in machine learning, generative AI, and related technologies.
  • Participate in conferences, workshops, and research communities to drive innovation within the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Advanced degree (Ph.D. or Master’s) in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in machine learning, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Location: Mumbai or Bangalore
