Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Procurement Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead transformative initiatives within large enterprises, driving operational efficiency, optimizing cost, and enhancing strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of business operations and be adept at collaborating with technical SMEs to ideate and implement innovative procurement solutions. This role will be instrumental in identifying and executing procurement strategies that align with enterprise-wide objectives and position organizations at the forefront of procurement modernization. Responsibilities ● Strategic Procurement Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies that align with enterprise-wide goals. ● Procurement Data Management : Guide team on end to end data management for procurement organization.Understand data generated from various sources in Procurement organization ● Technical SME Collaboration: Partner with technical SMEs to identify and implement innovative procurement solutions leveraging emerging technologies, such as AI, ML, and automation. ● Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data analytics to inform strategic procurement decisions, identify cost-saving opportunities, and track performance metrics. ● Procurement Process Improvement: Analyze and optimize procurement processes to enhance efficiency, reduce lead times, and improve overall performance. Implement best practices and leverage technology to streamline operations ● Vendor/Procurement Transformation: Drive vendor and procurement transformation initiatives, including supplier diversity, sustainability, and risk management. Implement strategies to optimize the procurement function and enhance supplier relationships.. ● Supplier Relationship Management: Advise customers to build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, ensuring effective collaboration and performance. Ability to translate business requirements into effective procurement strategies. ● Technical Aptitude: Familiarity with procurement technologies, such as e-procurement platforms, contract management systems, and data analytics tools. ● Collaboration Skills: Ability to effectively collaborate with technical SMEs to ideate and implement innovative procurement solutions. ● Project Management: Experience managing complex projects and delivering results within tight deadlines. ● Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, both technical and non-technical. Preferred Qualifications ● Experience in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, healthcare, technology, or financial services. ● Knowledge of industry-specific procurement challenges and best practices. ● Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and procurement modules. ● Certifications in procurement, supply chain management, or project management.
