Revenue Accounting ManagerPosition SummaryZywave is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Manger to lead key functions in revenue accounting, cash reconciliation, and accounts receivable ledger close . This role ensures the integrity of financial reporting and supports the company’s financial operations through accurate and timely reconciliations. The Accounting Manager manages a small team to drive performance, compliance and process improvements.Overall Role & Responsibility:Lead month-end close activities related to revenue, accounts receivable, and cashEnsure the company is compliant with ASC 606 revenue recognition standardsPrepare account reconciliations and journal entries for revenue, deferred revenue, and accounts receivable, as well as non-revenue related assigned accountsManage and mentor a team of accountants and/or specialists responsible for cash and reconciliation tasksAssist with audit requests and ensure compliance with internal controls, policies and accounting standardsReports to the Accounting DirectorEssential Tasks:Revenue Accounting : Ensure accurate revenue recognition in compliance with ASC 606, including the preparation and review of revenue and deferred revenue journal entries and related reconciliations during the month-end close process. Will collaborate with business leaders to confirm that revenue is recorded correctly and aligns with internal policies.Review internal revenue reporting, reconciliations, and supporting schedules to ensure compliance and data integrity.Additionally, the position focuses on driving continuous improvement in the revenue recognition processes and supporting documentation to enhance financial reporting accuracy and operational efficiency.Cash Accounting: Oversee weekly and monthly cash reconciliation across multiple bank accounts and customer receipts and vendor payment platforms. This includes collaborating with the customer receivables department to investigate and resolve unapplied or unrecorded customer receipts.Accounts Receivable Accounting: Ensure timely and accurate reconciliation of accounts receivable balances, facilitating the write-off of bad debts in the revenue subledger systems and preparation of credit and bad debt allowances.Team Leadership: Provide guidance, training, and performance feedback to team members. Foster a culture committed to accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.Skills and Qualifications:Equivalent of a USA bachelor’s degree in accounting.USA Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or international Chartered Accountant (CA) license.Solid understanding of ASC 606 and Saa S revenue models.5+ years of accounting experience, with a strong focus on revenue and reconciliations.3+ years of experience managing or mentoring staff.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.PROFICIENCY WITH THE FOLLOWING SYSTEMS IS A PLUS:Sage IntacctMicrosoft Office & Related Tools (Excel, Word, Power Point, Teams, Outlook, Power BI)Salesforce and Salesforce Billing experience with developing pricing models for products or services.
