Role Description
This is a full-time role for a Co-Founder & Audio Engineer at VYB. We’re looking for an Audio Engineer with expertise in Csound and programmatic music composition to join our founding team.
The role involves creating programmatic music using Csound, developing immersive relaxing soundscapes from health data, and collaborating on innovative audio projects to enhance health and wellness experiences.
We'd love to talk if you’re passionate about blending music and technology to create something innovative and meaningful
What You’ll Do:
Collaborate closely with the team to create seamless, data-driven musical experiences.
Lead the sonification of health data (heart rate, activity, sleep) using Csound .
Design and implement algorithmic music systems that convert health data into meaningful soundscapes.
Develop cutting-edge solutions that merge AI and music composition to produce immersive experiences.
Experiment with and refine musical outputs for commercial release and in-app streaming.
Work with an Android app (which is already in development) to integrate real-time music generation with health data streams.
Qualifications
Strong understanding of Csound and programmatic music
Strong background in audio programming and a deep understanding of music theory and composition.
Experience in audio engineering, sound design, or music production, combined with exceptional analytical, research, and communication skills
Nice To Have
Experience in commercial music composition or creating music for apps, games, or immersive experiences.
Knowledge of machine learning concepts as applied to music or audio is a huge plus.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Audio Engineering, Music Production, or related field
