Urgently required Safety officer for Textile Manufacturing Company based at Urla,Raipur(C.G.).

Job Title: Safety Officer

Department: Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

Location: Urla,Raipur(C.G.)

Job Purpose:

To ensure a safe and healthy workplace by implementing safety policies, monitoring compliance with statutory requirements, and promoting a strong safety culture within the manufacturing unit.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Compliance & Documentation :-

Ensure compliance with Factories Act, Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) regulations, and other statutory requirements.

Maintain updated records of safety inspections, incidents, and statutory reports.

Assist in preparing and submitting safety-related reports to management and authorities.

1. Safety Monitoring & Inspections :-

Conduct regular inspections of machinery, equipment, and processes to identify unsafe conditions.

Monitor use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) by employees and contractors.

Ensure safe storage, handling, and disposal of hazardous substances.

1. Incident Management :-

Investigate accidents, near-misses, and unsafe practices to identify root causes.

Recommend corrective and preventive measures.

Maintain accident/incident registers and report to management.

1. Training & Awareness :-

Conduct induction training for new employees and contractors.

Organize regular safety drills, firefighting training, and emergency preparedness programs.

Promote a culture of safety through awareness campaigns and toolbox talks.

1. Emergency Preparedness :-

Develop and implement emergency response procedures.

Ensure availability and maintenance of firefighting equipment, alarms, and first-aid facilities.

Coordinate mock drills and emergency evacuation exercises.

1. Collaboration & Coordination :-

Work with production, maintenance to integrate safety into operations.

Liaise with external agencies, inspectors, and auditors during safety audits.

Qualifications & Skills:-

Diploma / Degree in Engineering with specialization in Industrial Safety / Fire & Safety.

Certification in Safety Management (NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent) preferred.

2–5 years of experience in safety management within a manufacturing setup.

Strong communication, observation, and problem-solving skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20, ₹38,286.94 per month
