About the Job – Looking for Unix Systems Analyst with 3+ years of experience in Unix infrastructure support role.

Job Title – Unix Systems Analyst

Work Location – Bangalore

Educational Background – Successful completion of a Computer Science degree or Technical Diploma.

Key Responsibilities - Administration and support of Unix/Linux server and Container environment

implementation of routine technical fixes, and assistance in completing complex changes with the guidance of senior technical staff.

  • Remediation planning for routine changes and standard validation routine changes.
  • Recommendation of technical fixes and remediation planning for changes.
  • Work with a team supporting, troubleshooting, monitoring, repairing routine issues and other day-to-day tasks associated with maintaining the stability, availability and reliability of server environments.
  • Work within standardized guidelines for support and assist in the application of corporate IT standards.
  • Independent resolution of minor server issues, with clear escalation path for major or complex systems to senior staff for assistance and signoff.
  • Assist in change planning and documentation of changes as well as any validation plan creation required. Implementation and execution of approved changes.
  • Configure manage, maintain and continuously improve server, application and system performance, based on senior technical staff recommendations.

Skills Required –Unix/Red Hat Linux server support.

  • Strong verbal and written communication, problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to successfully work within a result driven team and organization.
  • Strong analytical and technical skill set, able to communicate and organize complex implementation changes.
  • Able to perform under pressure of Production downtime recovery SLAs.
  • Able to multitask and deliver all projects in timely manner.
  • Documentation skillset, being able to mentor and guide junior team members with completing complex changes.
  • Ability to participate in the on-call rotation for production support and after business hours implementations, as required.

Additional Requirements - Completion of certificates in Red Hat Linux and AWS.

  • Proficient scripting, automation skills and experience with configuration management tools including Ansible, Bit bucket.
  • Administration experience with Veritas Info Scale (aka Veritas Cluster Server).
  • Familiarity with IBM Power Systems, AIX and Solaris.
