Software Development Engineer in Test

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with over 8 years of experience to join our Platform Services team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of designing, developing, and executing comprehensive test strategies for complex backend systems.

What you will be doing:

Build, support, and operate domain platform services for fintech product engineering.

Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts for Java-based Spring applications using tools like JUnit, TestNG, Mockito, and Spring Test.

Develop and execute test cases, including functional, regression, integration, and performance tests for RESTful APIs, microservices, and databases.

Identify, scope, and lead large technical projects to evolve and scale platform capabilities.

Develop and execute short- and long-term roadmaps, balancing business priorities, user experience, and technical sustainability.

Analyze test results and identify defects, working closely with developers to resolve them.

Collaborate with stakeholders across engineering, product, design, infrastructure, and operations.

Continuously evaluate and improve code quality and service reliability through metrics, monitoring, and testing.

Contribute to the development of testing best practices and standards.

Stay up-to-date with the latest testing methodologies, tools, and technologies for Java and Spring applications.


What you should bring:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

8+ years of experience in backend development, with a focus on Kotlin.

Proficiency in AWS services, particularly SQS/SNS, Aurora SQL, and DynamoDB.

Solid understanding of RESTful API design and implementation.

Experience with Spring Boot framework for building applications.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.

(Nice to have) Experience in NodeJS and TypeScript

(Nice to have) Experience working on user payment or banking product, at scale

(Nice to have) In-depth knowledge of transaction management and ledgering services and related concepts
