Job Description:

As a CAD Designer at Nine Jewellery, you will play a key role in the design and development of our jewelry collections, bringing your extensive experience to drive innovation and excellence in every project.

Responsibilities:

1. CAD Modeling: Utilize your advanced skills in CAD software to create intricate and precise 3D models of jewelry designs, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.2. Design Development: Lead the design process, collaborating closely with the design team to conceptualize, refine, and execute designs that meet aesthetic, technical, and market requirements.3. Technical Drawings: Generate comprehensive technical drawings and specifications for manufacturing, incorporating your deep understanding of jewelry manufacturing processes, materials, and gemstone settings.4. Prototype Development: Oversee the development of prototypes, providing expert guidance and feedback to ensure the translation of digital designs into tangible, high-quality jewelry pieces.5. Quality Assurance: Implement rigorous quality control measures to maintain the integrity and precision of CAD models and technical drawings, adhering to industry standards and best practices.6. Research and Innovation: Stay at the forefront of industry trends, techniques, and technologies, leveraging your expertise to drive continuous improvement and innovation in design processes and product development.7. Leadership and Mentoring: Serve as a mentor and resource for junior CAD designers, sharing your knowledge, experience, and best practices to foster growth and development within the team.8. Communication and Collaboration: Effectively communicate design concepts, specifications, and feedback with cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and alignment throughout the design and production process.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Jewelry Design, Industrial Design, or related field.2. 4+ years of proven experience as a CAD Designer in the jewelry industry, with a strong portfolio demonstrating your expertise in CAD modeling and design development.3. Expert proficiency in CAD software, such as Rhino, Matrix, or similar tools, with advanced skills in complex 3D modeling and rendering techniques.4. In-depth knowledge of jewelry manufacturing processes, materials, and gemstone settings, acquired through hands-on experience in the industry.5. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with a track record of translating complex designs into precise digital models with exceptional craftsmanship.6. Creative vision and innovation, coupled with a passion for jewelry design and a keen understanding of market trends and consumer preferences.7. Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to inspire and influence cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals and objectives.8. Flexibility, adaptability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience with 3D printing technologies and processes for rapid prototyping, as well as familiarity with CNC machining and other advanced manufacturing techniques.2. Knowledge of jewelry market trends, competitive landscape, and consumer behavior, with the ability to leverage insights to inform design decisions and strategies.3. Certification in CAD design or relevant professional training courses, demonstrating a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
