Job Title: Cloud Infrastructure Engineer


Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our innovative team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing the cloud infrastructure that supports our applications and services. You will play a vital role in ensuring our cloud systems are robust, scalable, and efficient, thereby enhancing our overall operational capabilities.


Responsibilities:


  • Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
  • Develop and implement automation scripts for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and monitoring.
  • Optimize cloud infrastructure costs by monitoring usage and implementing cost-saving strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices, including data encryption and access control.
  • Collaborate with development, DevOps, and IT teams to support the deployment and operation of applications and services.
  • Perform regular maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance and reliability of cloud systems.
  • Monitor cloud infrastructure and respond to incidents and outages promptly.
  • Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and best practices to continuously improve our infrastructure.


Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer or in a similar role, with strong expertise in cloud computing principles and architectures.
  • Proficiency in Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud platform
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
  • Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation and configuration management.
  • Knowledge of cloud networking, security best practices, and compliance standards.
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Relevant certifications in cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Cloud Administrator) are highly desirable.
