Voor deze organisatie zijn wij wegens uitbreiding van het team op zoek naar een:
(Senior) Software Engineer
De eigen ontwikkelde bedrijfssoftware fungeert als het centrale zenuwstelsel van het bedrijf en is verbonden met en sturend in alle bedrijfsprocessen. Als Software Engineer speel je een sleutelrol in de verdere evolutie van deze software. Je werkt daarbij samen in een klein team en hebt direct contact met collega's die jouw software gebruiken. Je hebt een brede verantwoordelijkheid en werkt aan uiteenlopende, ambitieuze uitdagingen.
Je ontwikkelt de software door middel van snelle iteraties (Continuous Delivery), ondersteund door geautomatiseerde tests. Hierbij ligt de focus niet op voortdurende sprinten, maar op het vinden van de slimste oplossingen.
De bedrijfslogica wordt ontwikkeld in Omnis, terwijl andere delen van de applicatie gebruik maakt van diverse andere talen. Hoewel Omnis wellicht minder bekend is, is het uitermate geschikt voor deze toepassing. Je krijgt de ruimte en ondersteuning om deze en andere gebruikte technologieën snel eigen te maken.
De belangrijkste taal voor onze bedrijfssoftware is Omnis, maar we gebruiken diverse andere talen en het is ook de bedoeling dat deze senior ook mee gaat rouleren in 1 of meer andere talen Een brede kennis van onze software is nl. ook in ons belang, zeker gezien de grootte van ons team. Denk hierbij 80% Omnis, 20% andere talen.
We gebruiken de volgende andere talen die relevant zijn voor de functie en belangrijk voor ons zijn:
Swift: Dit is de basis voor onze app-framework die we aan het uitbouwen zijn. Hier gaat de komende jaren nog veel ontwikkeling in zitten. We werken daarbij op basis van de Composable Architecture.
Java & Lisp: onze integratie met 3D CAD is gebouwd in Java en Lisp. Onderhoud en uitbreiding van features zijn ook zaken waar we de komende jaren aan werken.
Javascript: voor onze web-integratie (denk configurator en leveranciers-portaal) gebruiken we javascript. Maar ook ons client framework heeft een web schil nodig waaraan gewerkt gaat worden. Ook bij office plugin ontwikkeling hebben we dit nodig (de komende jaren voor het omzetten van plugins gebouwd in visual basic).
SQL: Bij het werken in Omnis is ook altijd veel SQL-kennis verweven aangezien de applicatie communiceert met een SQL database.
C++: Omnis is een goede taal om bedrijfslogica in te schrijven, maar waar het te kort komt is soms c++ nodig om een extensie voor Omnis te schrijven om dit op te lossen. We ontwikkelen ook zelf uitbreidingen en we willen daar nog diversen aan toevoegen.
Naast de talen gebruiken we ook nog andere tools en zijn we de komende jaren ook nog veel bezig met deployment op Linux via docker containers en het opzetten van een CI/CD pipeline, etc.
Los van de ontwikkeling die je kunt maken op bedrijfsproces niveau, zijn dit veel aspecten waarop je je kunt ontwikkelen en die niet specifiek zijn aan deze organisatie.
Vereisten Je hebt minimaal Hbo-niveau;
Je hebt ervaring met software ontwikkeling (5 jaar of meer werkervaring);
Je hebt ervaring met het ontwikkelen van ERP-software;
Je zoekt graag gestructureerd naar simpele oplossingen;
Je kunt werken aan meerdere projecten tegelijk;
Je bent niet bang voor complexe uitdagingen.
