Currently, the company is in the expansion stage as we have commenced our vehicle deliveries in Bangalore with over 100+ vehicles on road. River is backed by marquee international investors - Dubai based Al-Futtaim Group, Lowcarbon Capital, Toyota Ventures, Israel based Maniv mobility, US based Trucks VC and Yamaha motors. These are mobility focused funds backed by some of the big names in the automotive industry. River is founded by experienced automotive professionals and is a fast growing company with a team of 300+ people.
Location : Whitefield, Bangalore.
Roles & Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage the two wheeler & battery bought out parts supplier quality, including
all commodities.
• Review and supervise Advanced part quality plan (APQP) for every part to meet the
timelines of vehicle build plan in partnership with supplier, adhering to IATF standards.
• Review part Manufacturing Planning at supplier end by creating Process Flow Diagram,
Floor Plan Layout, PFMEA and RPN Reduction Plan, Facilities Preparation, Machinery &
Equipment requirement, Tooling and Packaging Specifications.
• Ability to identify issues and risks, analyze and understand underlying causes, and devise
appropriate action plans.
• Conducting supplier system, process, and technology audits in accordance with IATF
guidelines and company standards
• Monitor verification of Tier 2 supplier Planning by validating their Tooling, Equipment,
Production capacity, PPAP, Run @ Rate verification.
• Timely development of accurate countermeasures to address customer and receipt
inspection/assembly issues associated with supplier quality, focusing on continuous
improvement.
• Drive VAVE opportunities and monitor implementation to achieve cost reduction targets.
• Monitor and manage costs arising from supplier-related rejections and rework, collaborating
with production teams to enforce effective control measures within the Supplier Quality
Assurance domain.
• Spearhead the definition and implementation of robust strategies for Days of Inventory (DOL)
and Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) reduction.
• Publish supplier quality MIS.
Here’s what we are looking for:
• B.Tech in mechanical, mechatronics or automobile engineering .
• Having experience with 2 wheeler,4 wheeler OEMs.
• Strong leadership, analytical and communication skills are essential for success in
this position.
• in-depth knowledge of supplier base, manufacturing processes, APQP, PPAP, SPC,
MSA and problem solving techniques. upcoming technology and technical knowledge
of Part specification/Part development, Quality tools.
• Well versed with IATF 16949, PFMEA,KAIZEN,7 QC tools,5 Why, QFD, Problem
solving, 8D,Six Sigma, SPC, MSA etc.
• Certified quality auditor.
Thorough understanding of the below will be desirable :
• Knowledge of Quality Control Practices
• Knowledge of Sampling plans and techniques.
• Quality assurance practices and procedures.
• Supplier upgradation
• APQP at supplier end
