We are pleased to launch the ExcelHer program – the career returnship program at Volvo Group in India . The program is for women who have been on a career break for a year or more. The assignments are for a tenure of 9 months. The participant of this program would have access to professional development programs, mentoring assistance by a business leader, apart from the experience of working with people from different functions/technologies/culture.

About the team: 

The Pneumatics and Electrical Installation team is a group within Vehicle Engineering of Group Trucks Technology in Bangalore. The group consists of passionate and enthusiastic engineers responsible for conceptualizing, designing, developing and delivering the projects in the chassis installation area for both Conventional and Electric vehicles 

Roles & Responsibilities: 

Have operational responsibility for the pneumatic & Electrical wiring installation in the layout. 

Have the capacity to work individually or with a small team actively to secure the deliverables. 

Play an active role in the delivery. 

Integrate deliveries from others and secure quality and readiness before release 

Ensure the deliveries are made as per the requirement and timelines. 

Frequent interactions with their counterparts, clarify the requirements and deliver accordingly. 

Develops and implements pneumatic & wiring installation projects within the area of assignment including related routing and clipping solutions 

Communicates relevant design and project requirements to external design counterpart as applicable if the detailed design is performed by an outside entity 

Ensures design correctness and completeness for all pneumatic & wiring installation

Engineering skills in automotive context 

Strong analytical & problem-solving skills. 

Concept generation and development 

English business communication

Curiosity to know and ask questions 

Demonstrate learning ability 

Player mindset to work on challenging topics 

Education & Experience Required: 

Completed B.E. / B.Tech. Mechanical / Automobile Engineering (equivalent) 

Strong in engineering fundamentals 

Good knowledge in sheet-metal 

Hands-on experience in CREO tool & routing 

Added advantage if have experience on Pneumatic components or electrical components & routing / installation of components
