As a backend engineer, you will work on our Python based ORM and applications that scale to handle millions of transactions every hour. This is mission critical software, and your primary focus will be building robust and scalable solutions that are easy to maintain.


In this role, you will be collaborating closely with the rest of the team working on different layers of infrastructure in an international environment. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and a quality product are important.


What You’ll Do:


* Design, build and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable front-end code

* Developing new user-facing features using React.js

* Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use

* Translating designs and wireframes into high quality and pixel perfect code

* Optimizing components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers

* Actively participate in design and code reviews to build robust applications and prototypes.



Requirements : We’re Looking for Someone With:


* 2 - 5 yrs of overall work experience

* Minimum 2 years React Experience

* Strong CS Fundamentals

* A track record of crafting and deploying apps as a part of your job, or as side projects.

* Hands-on Experience with vanilla JavaScript, a solid understanding of DOM, and working knowledge of frameworks like React, Vue, or Angular

* HTML & CSS Working knowledge

* Solid understanding of how the web works and its underlying communication protocols.

* You keep pace with the ever-changing specs of cutting-edge front-end technologies (eg. Service Workers)

* Knowledge of design patterns, enterprise architecture, and software engineering principles

* Skills in creating testable components, writing unit tests, and knowledge of front-end testing frameworks

* Exposure to multiple single-page applications with shared functionality/components



HIGHLY DESIRABLE


* Good sense of design, UX, and simplicity, and able to ensure technical feasibility of UI/UX designs

* Experience in aligning modularization with domains (Domain Driven Design)

* Knowledge of JS visualization libraries like D3.js or derivatives.

* Familiarity with agile practices like Scrum, stories, iteration

* Great interpersonal and communication skills

* Should be willing to work in a very fluid startup environment and take complete ownership of the assigned responsibility

* Strong interest in understanding the underlying business and the problem we want to solve using technology

* Familiarity with Node JS and server-less architecture is a plus
