Job Title: Assistant Professor / Associate Professor – Computer ScienceSchool: Presidency School of EngineeringReports to: Dean / Head of DepartmentLocation: Presidency University, BengaluruPosition SummaryThe faculty member will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, conducting impactful research, mentoring students, and contributing to the academic and institutional growth of the university. The role involves active participation in curriculum development, innovative pedagogy, industry collaboration, and research publication in reputed journals.Key Responsibilities1. Teaching and LearningTeach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Computer Science and related disciplines such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, Software Engineering, and IoT.Develop and deliver course content using innovative and engaging pedagogical methods.Supervise student projects, internships, and dissertations.Incorporate emerging technologies and industry practices into classroom instruction.Conduct tutorials, workshops, and seminars to enhance student learning outcomes.2. Research and PublicationsUndertake independent and collaborative research leading to publications in Scopus / ABDC / SCI-indexed journals.Apply for external research funding and manage sponsored research projects.Participate in academic conferences, workshops, and professional networks.Mentor students in research and innovation projects, hackathons, and competitions.3. Academic Administration and ContributionParticipate in departmental and institutional committees, accreditation, and quality assurance processes (NAAC, NBA, NIRF, etc.).Contribute to curriculum design, academic planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.Engage in student mentoring, academic advising, and career guidance.Support outreach, collaborations, and industry interface activities.4. Industry and Community EngagementEstablish linkages with industry for research collaborations, internships, and placements.Engage in consultancy, product development, and knowledge
