Job Description: Front End Support Engineer

We are looking for a talented Front End Support Engineer to join our team. As a Front End Support Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our front-end systems to ensure a seamless user experience. You will collaborate closely with developers, designers, and other cross-functional teams to identify issues, troubleshoot problems, and implement solutions that enhance our applications.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, technical specifications and fix issues to make software better.  Maintain and optimize front end software to ensure high performance and responsiveness.  Identify code issues based on bugs reported by users or detected through monitoring tools.  Implement proper solutions by collaborating with subject matter experts to improve user experience, performance, and reliability of front end applications.  Perform developer testing and help quality assurance to ensure compatibility and consistency across different browsers and platforms.  Work closely with UI/UX designers to implement design changes and ensure a consistent user interface.  Implement solutions keeping in mind performance metrics such as page load times, responsiveness, and resource utilization. Document any design discussions, changes to technical specifications, troubleshooting steps for support and QA, and best practices. Work on Release Notes to communicate fixes.  Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in front end development.  Open to learning basic backend techniques that involve APIs  Must be able to debug code using browser tools and IDEs. Must be able to work with API testing tools like Postman.  Provide support to performance testing teams. Familiarity with JMeter or similar tools is good to have. 

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).  Proven experience 8+ years as a Front-End Developer, Front End Engineer, or similar role.  Proficiency in front end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and JavaScript frameworks (React).  Experience with responsive design principles and front-end optimization techniques.  Solid understanding of browser rendering behavior and performance.  Experience with version control systems (., Git).  Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.  Excellent communication and collaboration skills.  Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with backend technologies (., , RESTful APIs) is a plus.  Familiarity with testing frameworks (., Jest, Mocha) and build tools (., Webpack, Gulp).  Knowledge of web accessibility standards (., WCAG).  Experience with cloud platforms (., AWS, Azure) and serverless architecture.  Understanding of SEO principles and best practices.
