Job Description :


Database Management :

- Install, configure, and upgrade database management systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL).

- Monitor database performance and implement optimization strategies for query performance and resource utilization.

- Perform regular database backups and ensure data recovery processes are in place.

Security & Compliance :

- Implement and manage database security protocols to safeguard sensitive data.

- Regularly audit databases to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Performance Tuning :

- Analyze and troubleshoot database issues, providing solutions to improve efficiency and performance.

- Conduct regular database maintenance tasks, including index maintenance and statistics updates.

Collaboration :

- Work closely with application developers to design and optimize database schemas and queries.

- Assist in data migration and integration tasks as required.

Documentation & Reporting :

- Maintain accurate documentation of database configurations, procedures, and changes.

- Prepare regular reports on database performance and usage metrics for stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. (Insert specific DBMS experience, e.g., 5+ years of experience with Oracle or SQL Server).

- Proficient in SQL and database scripting languages.

- Strong understanding of database architecture, security, backup, and recovery techniques.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with cloud databases (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database).

- Knowledge of database automation and monitoring tools.

- Relevant certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified Database Administrator).
