The role exists for advanced network monitoring and fault management having expertise in Optical transport technologies to maintain network health and hygiene.
Role/ responsibilities include:
Network Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor and maintain the performance of optical transport networks, ensuring optimal functionality and reliability.
Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve issues related to optical transport equipment, including but not limited to fiber optic cables, DWDM systems, and optical amplifiers.
Configuration Management: Configure and manage optical transport equipment according to network requirements and industry standards.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of network faults, changes, and troubleshooting procedures. Generate reports on network performance and KPIs as required.
Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including network planning, operations, and maintenance to ensure seamless integration and operation of optical transport networks.
Skills Required:
Minimum 2+ Years of Experience
Hands on experience on DWDM and DWDM Equpiements
Experience with optical transport equipment from vendors like Ciena, Huawei, or Nokia.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment.
Understanding IP networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, MPLS, etc.) is a plus.
Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Demonstrated ability to analyse network performance metrics and KPIs using NMS tools to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related field.
Certification in optical networking technologies such as Optical Communication – Associate Ciena, Nokia Optical Network Professional, or equivalent will be added advantage
