In this role, you will be a key part of the global Legal and Compliance team based in Gurugram. You will be responsible for receiving and handling a range of data privacy requests, training team members on data privacy matters, and generally contributing to Arbolus’s data privacy programme. This will involve close collaboration across various teams in India, Spain, and the US, conducting QC over various processes, ensuring deadlines are met, assisting in preparing monthly reports, answering questions as they arise, and contributing to various data privacy initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in contributing to Arbolus’s growth and success.Key responsibilities you will be in charge of Handle requests for updating of contact preferences and erasure requests Participate in company-wide communications on privacy matters, and assist in         answering questions. Collaborate with the Compliance team to ensure harmony between data privacy and compliance requirements. Provide new joiners training on data privacy basics and processes Assist in drafting Arbolus' internal Notion on data privacy processes. Conduct a QC review on the external communication of data privacy compliance. Perform basic data analysis using tools like Google Sheets and internal dashboards, and report to stakeholders. Assist in reviewing and configuring internal tools to ensure adherence to procedures and policies Support the handling of data subject access requests (DSARs) to ensure timely and accurate responses. Requirements to succeed in this role Experience : Required 1-2 years of experience in data privacy, compliance, or a related area; internships or relevant coursework in GDPR/data privacy is a plus. More than 2 years in a data privacy-focused role is highly valued. Educational background : Bachelor’s degree in Law, Information Technology, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Analytical skills : Ability to engage in various types of projects, eager to improve processes, and ability to handle sensitive information confidentially. Tools : Required experience with tools such as Google Sheets and Docs, and data analysis tools (such as data dashboards). Experience with other common services such as Slack, Notion, HubSpot, Linkedin is a plus.
