Associate Academic Content Writer in the Test-Prep Team, GoStudy


Job Description

An Associate for Academic Content Writing for the Test-Prep Products is involved in the creation and development of educational content for academic learning resources materials such as textbooks, online courses, instructional materials, and other materials for international standard tests like IELTS, PTE, TOEFL, and more.


Roles and Responsibilities

1. Content Development:

Research: Conduct research to gather recent relevant information and data to support content development to ensure the accuracy and credibility of the material under development.

Writing and Editing: Write and edit academic content, including lessons, exercises, assessments, and supplementary materials, ensuring accuracy and clarity according to the examination standards.

Collaboration: Work closely with subject matter experts, instructional designers, and other stakeholders to create high-quality content that meets the educational objectives.

2. Content Review and Quality Assurance:

Peer Review: Participate in the review process every week to ensure consistency and quality across all materials produced.

Revision: Revise and update existing content based on feedback from educators and internal reviews to maintain relevance and effectiveness.

3. Project Coordination:

Project Management: Assist in managing content development projects, tracking progress, and meeting deadlines for the deliverables.

Documentation: Maintain clear documentation of content development processes, revisions, and project timelines.

4. Market Awareness:

Stay informed about market trends, competitor products, and advancements in educational technology to inform content development strategies, and ideate for new academic resource material development.


Skills and Qualifications:

Educational Background: A degree in English or a related field is required.

Writing and Editing Skills: The ideal candidate must have strong writing and editing skills. Moreover, a wide range of vocabulary and a strong hold on English Grammar is a must. The candidate should be willing to take part in writing clear, engaging, and accurate educational content related to test-prep products within the deadline.

Research Skills: Proficiency in conducting thorough research to support content development and ensure accuracy.

Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail to ensure the quality and consistency of content.

Collaboration Skills: The candidate must be able to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Time Management: The candidate has to work with a strong organizational and time management skill to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Technical Proficiency: The candidate must have some level of familiarity with educational technology, content management systems, and digital learning tools.
