SAP PLM Solution Architect Location: Bengaluru, India Employment Type: Full-Time Work Mode: Hybrid / Onsite (as per project needs) Experience: 12–17 Years (Relevant SAP PLM Experience) About the Role We are looking for a seasoned SAP PLM Solution Architect with strong expertise in SAP Product Lifecycle Management and its integration across core SAP modules. The ideal candidate will lead solution design, govern delivery, and drive PLM architectural excellence for enterprise transformation programs. This role requires a blend of hands-on SAP PLM expertise (≈75%) and practice development/presales capability (≈25%). Key Responsibilities 1. Solution Architecture & Design Lead the end-to-end architecture, design, and roadmap for SAP PLM across product lifecycle processes. Translate business requirements into scalable PLM solutions leveraging SAP best practices. Define and document solution blueprints, architecture diagrams, process flows, and integration models . Architect PLM functionalities such as: Engineering Change Management (ECM) Document Management System (DMS) Product Data Management (PDM) Recipe/Formulation Management (for relevant industries) Variant Configuration (VC) / AVC Product Structure Management and BOM handling CAD/PLM integration Quality and compliance workflows 2. Project Execution & Delivery Ownership Lead workshops, requirement gathering, fit-gap analysis, and solution validation with business teams. Mentor the functional and technical team in PLM configuration and development activities. Ensure solution quality, compliance, and adherence to global standards. Support end-to-end project phases: Blueprinting → Design → Build → Testing → Cutover → Hypercare. Collaborate with cross-functional architects (MM, PP, QM, EWM, SD, PP-DS, BTP, Analytics, etc.). Provide SME support for complex issues and production stabilization. 3. Practice Development & Presales (≈25%) Contribute to RFP/RFI responses , solution proposals, and client presentations. Assist in building PLM accelerators, templates, reusable components , and best-practice assets. Conduct internal PLM capability building and knowledge-sharing sessions. Evaluate and recommend emerging SAP PLM technologies , integrations, and innovations. Required Skills & Experience 12–17 years of total SAP experience with strong focus on SAP PLM . Minimum 2–3 full-cycle SAP PLM implementations in a Solution Architect or Lead role. Deep SAP PLM process knowledge, including: Specification management Engineering change and release management DMS architecture and content server integration Lifecycle data and engineering records Product and material master governance PLM web UI and workflow setups Strong experience in S/4 HANA PLM , including latest innovations. Hands-on expertise in PLM–CAD/3 D Integration , SAP Engineering Control Center (ECTR), Siemens/Teamcenter integration (added advantage). Cross-module integration knowledge with PP, QM, MM, EWM, SD , and BTP . Ability to design secure, scalable, and high-performance PLM solutions for global deployments. Strong communication skills with experience presenting to CXO-level stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications SAP Certification in SAP PLM / S/4 HANA PLM preferred. Experience in Discrete Manufacturing, Automotive, Aerospace, Consumer Goods , or Hi-Tech industries. Understanding of compliance requirements: REACH, Ro HS, Regulatory Data, etc. Exposure to SAP MDG for Product (MDG-M/MDG-EAM). Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies. Education Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Engineering, Technology, or related fields.
