Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Bhubaneswar for a Presales Engineer. The primary duties of this role involve assessing customer requirements, delivering engaging product presentations, and crafting personalized proposals to highlight the value of the ERP solution. Responsibilities also include working closely with the sales team to pinpoint potential leads, offering technical and business knowledge, staying informed on industry developments, and overseeing a seamless transition from pre-sales to implementation. Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities are essential, as well as a comprehensive grasp of ERP systems and their advantages for clients.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Needs Analysis: Identify and understand customer requirements, pain points, and business objectives to tailor ERP solutions effectively.
Product Demonstrations: Deliver engaging and informative presentations and demonstrations of ERP functionalities and benefits to potential clients.
Proposal Development: Assist in creating compelling, customized proposals, including technical documentation, requests for proposal (RFP/RFI), and quotations.
Technical Expertise: Provide high-level technical and business insights during sales interactions to address customer queries and concerns.
Sales Collaboration: Work closely with the sales team to identify and qualify leads, develop effective sales strategies, and support the sales pipeline.
Market & Product Knowledge: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of ERP industry trends, competitive landscapes, and the company's own ERP product developments.
Relationship Building: Foster strong relationships with potential clients and internal teams, acting as a trusted advisor and product expert.
Solution Design: Participate in solution design meetings to ensure the proposed ERP solution accurately meets the customer's needs and provides maximum value.
Post-Sales Transition: Support a seamless handover of the customer relationship from the pre-sales phase to the implementation and post-sales teams.
Key Skills and Qualifications
Technical Acumen: A strong understanding of ERP systems and their technical capabilities.
Communication Skills: Exceptional oral and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Analytical Skills: Ability to gather and analyze customer needs, market trends, and competitive intelligence.
Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills to address customer issues and design appropriate solutions.
Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with sales, marketing, product, and technical teams.
Experience: Proven experience in pre-sales, technical sales, or a related role within the software or ERP industry.
Education: A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business, Marketing, IT, or Computer Science is often required.
