OverviewLearningMate Solutions Inc. is seeking a qualified and experiencedSubject Matter Expert (SME)to author assessment items forHigh School End-of-Course (EOC) testinginScience (Biology) . This role is crucial for developing a robust test bank intended for state testing across multiple US states.Key ResponsibilitiesAssessment Item Authoring:Author high-quality,SME-authored non-multiple-choice assessment itemsfor the test bank, focusing exclusively onHigh School Biology (Grade 9)content.Use the provided AI tools to generate assessment items and then review and correct them as needed to align with the state standard and meet the DOK rigor requirements.Item Type & Complexity:Author a mix of assessment question types, including multiple-choice, multiple-select, and short-answer questions.Depth of Knowledge (DOK) Alignment:Ensure that all SME-authored non-multiple-choice assessment items align with the specified DOK levels:50% DOK Level 2and50% DOK Level 3 .QualificationsRequiredProven expertise as a Subject Matter Expert, specifically inHigh School Biology(Grade 9 content level).Demonstrated experience in authoring high-quality, rigorous assessment items for state or standardized testing.Strong understanding ofDepth of Knowledge (DOK) levelsand experience authoring questions atDOK Level 2 and DOK Level 3 .Familiarity with various question types, including multiple-choice, multiple-select, and short-answer, fill the blanks, matching list, choice matrix, etc .High accuracy and turnaround time, as this is a very short project.Ability to work within theCanvas LMS environmentand follow specific content delivery requirements.
