Position overview


As a Senior or Lead NLP & GenAI Scientist, you will collaborate closely with clients and cross-functional teams, taking a hands-on approach to rapidly prototype, iteratively build, comprehensively test, and seamlessly deploy innovative products powered by GenAI/LLM technology at scale. Your responsibilities will also include blending research insights, technical skills, and business acumen to swiftly assess viability and translate cutting-edge concepts into client-ready deliverables.


Key roles & responsibilities


• NLP, Gen AI, LLM Model Development: Design and develop custom ML, Gen AI, NLP, LLM Models for batch and stream processing-based AI ML pipelines. Model components will include data ingestion, preprocessing, search and retrieval, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), LLM model development, fine-tuning and prompt engineering and ensure the solution meets all technical and business requirements. Work closely with other members in the design, development, and implementation of the ML model solutions.

• LLM Model Evaluation: Work closely with the team members to develop, validate, and maintain robust evaluation solutions and tools to evaluate model performance, accuracy, consistency, reliability, during development, UAT. Implement model optimizations to improve system efficiency.

• LLM, Gen AI Model Deployment: Work closely with the team for the deployment of machine learning models into production environments, ensuring reliability and scalability from managing CI/CD pipelines and containerization to deployment and maintenance in cloud or on-premises environments.

• Internal Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal teams, business stakeholders to ensure smooth integration of machine learning models into production systems.

• Documentation: Write and Maintain comprehensive documentation of ML modeling processes and procedures for reference and knowledge sharing.

• Develop Models Based on Standards and Best Practices: Ensure that the models are designed and developed while adhering to specified standards, governance, and best practices in ML model development.

• Assist in Problem Solving: Troubleshoot complex issues related to machine learning model development and data pipelines and develop innovative solutions.

• Design prototypes and proofs of concept (POCs) to validate the feasibility and value of solutions before full-scale implementation.

• Utilize your deep expertise in LLM/GenAI technologies to develop complex agent frameworks to streamline and enhance workflows across various industries.

• Ability to identify relevant latest tool stacks and frameworks and experiment with them and share how it benefits the clients


Key Skills


• 4+ years of professional hands-on experience leveraging large sets of structured and unstructured data to develop data-driven tactical and strategic analytics and insights using LLMs.

• Demonstrated 4+ years hands-on experience with Python, Hugging Face, TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, Spark or similar statistical tools and frameworks like LangChain etc.

• 5+ years hands-on experience developing natural language processing (NLP) models, ideally with transformer architectures.

• 2+ years of experience with implementing information search and retrieval at scale (RAG applications), using a range of solutions ranging from keyword search to semantic search using embeddings.

• Strong background in vector databases, MLOps, CI/CD pipeline development, containerization, and deployment across various environments.

• Experience with any of the major cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Microsoft Azure and On-prem tool stack

• Knowledge of and measurable hands-on experience with developing or tuning Large Language Models (LLM)

• Nice to have: Experience with contributing to GitHub and open-source initiatives or in research projects and/or participation in Kaggle competitions.

• Excellent communication skills in English, capable of explaining complex technical details and LLM capabilities to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.


Education and Qualifications


• Total 10+ yrs of experience with 4-5 yrs of experience related to key skills, roles, and responsibilities in NLP and GenAI / LLM space.

• Bachelor's / Master’s in Computer Science, Mathematics or Statistics, Computational linguistics, Engineering, or a related field.
