Distributed Energy Resources (DER) team is a strategic initiative within SAP’s Product Engineering organization, focused on delivering industry-specific cloud innovations for the evolving energy landscape. Its mission is to equip utilities with intelligent solutions to effectively manage the growing complexity of distributed renewable assets, while supporting grid stability and accelerating the energy transition.

As a Full Stack Developer, you will contribute to the design and development of scalable cloud-based solutions on SAP BTP and/or S/4 ABAP. You’ll be part of a global, cross-functional team, working closely with other developers, architects, and product owners in an agile setup.

What you'll do:

• Develop high-quality software solutions that meet customer requirements, utilizing both cloud and on-premises technologies.

• Collaborate with product owners, architects and other developers to translate customer needs into innovative, robust and scalable software solutions.

• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, adhering to coding standards and best practices.

• Participate in all phases of the project lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, and deployment and maintenance.

• Proactively identify and address technical challenges to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality software solutions.

• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, continuously enhancing your skills and knowledge.

• Contribute to a positive and collaborative team culture, sharing knowledge and best practices with team members.

What you bring:

Required skills:

• 4+ years of experience in Software Development profile along with bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Information Technology or Computer Science.

• Practical experience and proficiency in developing on SAP BTP with SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP) on JAVA and CDS modelling.

• Exposure on S/4 HANA, ABAP/ABAP OO, CDS views, RAP modelling, OData Services and Fiori applications

• Exposure of developing on BTP concepts (multi-tenancy, security, etc.), BTP development (Java, Node.js, CAP, HANA + Datalake technologies) and deployment processes (Cl/CD pipeline, monitoring and administration tools) is a plus.

• Experience in UI development using HTML5, SAPUI5/Fiori Elements..

• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Extensibility Model (Key User Extensibility, On-Stack Developer Extensibility, Side-by-Side Extensibility).

• Exposure to tools like SAP Business Application Studio (BAS).

• Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence is a plus.

• Knowledge of IS-Utilities is a plus

SAP specific:

· Excellent technical and analytical skills in SAP development tools and methodologies.

· Enthusiasm for working with innovative and rapidly evolving technology components.

· Strong analytical ability for complex business processes and solutions.

· Understanding of challenges in complex system landscapes.

· Good knowledge in IS-Utilities is a plus

· Understanding of customer's business processes and leading customer communication

· Solid grasp of SAP Technology, Technology Strategy, Cloud Technologies, and Market Trends.
