descriptions - Intern, Mechanical Engineering – Design and Analysis

We are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our growing team and gain valuable experience in the design & development of LiDAR systems. The internship program is for 6 months, and you will work alongside experienced engineers to learn the design process, apply your creativity, and contribute to the development of Next-Gen LiDAR technology.

Responsibilities

Support the design and modeling of LiDAR components and assemblies using CAD software.Perform linear & non-linear static and dynamic FEA analysis using Ansys.Interpret FEA results, create simulation reports, recommend design changes and solutions.Assist in performing FEA simulations for studying optical performance & deviation.Assist in automating the repetitive tasks using python scripting.Create and update engineering drawings with proper GD&T application.Propose design solutions considering manufacturability (DFMA) for high-volume production.Perform Tolerance Stack-up Analysis & other hand calculations to support the Engineering Design.Assist with revising & releasing drawings and BOMs through PLM change management processes.Assist with RCA & DFMEA processes using APIS IQ RM.

Preferred Education and Experience Requirements

Final year master’s student in Mechanical Engineering with a CGPA of 7.5 or higher.Strong foundation in Solid Mechanics & Machine Design.Strong analytical skills, pro-active attitude, team player and excellent communication skills.Proficiency in a leading 3D modeling tool – preferably CREO and SolidWorks.
