Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for the execution and management of inbound client and internal service-based data pipelines. You will develop, manage, and operate our data hubs, focusing on data intake, quality assessment, curation, and enrichment processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement scalable data integration processes (ETL/ELT), including ingestion, cleansing, curation, and unification.
Support various components of data pipelines, ensuring efficient ingestion, validation, and curation.
Manage ongoing data pipeline routines to ensure their success.
Collaborate with the implementation team to identify and reconcile data anomalies.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation on data pipelines.
Work closely with the software engineering team to ensure data points align with application specifications.
Provide periodic support to the customer success team, leveraging expertise in SQL, database design, and data manipulation.
Develop automated validation and data pipelines using ETL/ELT methodologies.
Utilize strong data profiling and analytic skills to discover and highlight patterns and trends.
Demonstrate a keen understanding of EDW, master data management, and database design principles.
Work comfortably with high-volume data across various formats.
Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with diverse stakeholders.
Experience with CI/CD and version control tools is a plus.
Familiarity with hybrid cloud environments, particularly AWS, is advantageous.
Interpret data and analyze results using statistical techniques to provide ongoing reports.
Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, and data analytics strategies to optimize efficiency and quality.
Acquire data from primary or secondary sources and maintain databases/systems.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, project managers, and IT teams to understand and meet business requirements.
Design, develop, implement, and manage distributed applications and systems on the Azure Cloud platform.
Engage in ETL development, data analysis, technical design, and testing.
Program using Pyspark and SQL/PLSQL, along with knowledge of data modeling.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
Proficiency in SQL and experience with database design and data manipulation methodologies.
Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT processes and automated validation.
Experience with cloud platforms, especially Azure.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
