Description

The Strategic Analytics group delivers applications that solve analytical and quantitative problems. The group provides a step-change improvement in the quality of services to support clients across the Investment Bank and core Infrastructure divisions such as Risk, Finance and Treasury. 

You will be joining the Strategic Analytics HUBBLE Platform Engineering team, which is responsible for provisioning of data from multiple sources into its Eco-Framework enabling the usage of analysis and reporting services in multiple departments throughout the bank via its in-house developed systems and architecture.

Your key responsibilities

Deliver component-based development modules Contribute to the design and delivery of overall projects Challenge the design and architecture of agile projects Review, plan, spec and build rapid development tools to assist the Hubble team to deliver the required objectives

Develop robust tactical systems with a strategic view to facilitate the following:

Data retrieval (multiple sources) Data validation (checking the data via controls) Data processing (enriching) Data calculations (performing optimum speed for complex calcs) Data reporting (displaying data via reports and web pages for slice and dice views to be consumed by the business leaders)

Your skills and experience

Grad/post-grad degree – qualified in a numerate discipline Broad financial market and product knowledge Strong Excel, MS Access and VBA experience Experience in relevant database such as SQL Server, Oracle  Strong quantitative skills, details-focused Excellent communication skills and fluent English speaking Good eye for detail, numerically literate Team orientated and motivated Able to work on an autonomous basis and part of a team Excellent communication skills Able to cope well under pressure and tight deadlines
