Technical Delivery Head
Purpose of role
You will be responsible to oversee end-to-end delivery of complex digital projects – working with highly skilled multidisciplinary/cross functional teams ensuring our client’s expectations are managed and met
Key Accountabilities
Oversee the delivery of Digital engagements, delivering on time, on budget and to a high standard
· Define and manage to a clearly documented process with lifecycle objective milestones, lifecycle architecture milestones, dependencies, risk analysis and risk mitigation plan
·Oversee transition of projects into live service and resolution of dependencies and issues
· Lead agile teams, consisting of project managers, business analysts, front-end JavaScript and HTML5 developers, mobility developers, back-end java engineers, and solution architects
· Manage all stakeholders' expectations
· Coordinate third parties such as creative agencies and back-end API providers
· Ensure the project delivery within contractual obligations and regulatory requirements
· Ensure scope management, change management. Assess/evaluate client requirements against scope of project, manage project plan and schedule
Skills / Knowledge competencies - Must have
· Overall 19+ years of IT experience and minimum 8+ years of experience in managing a software delivery team.
Excellent communication skills and a track record of delivering high-impact Core Banking commercial products are essential.
· Experience of working in complex software and application development environments (e.g. design, transition, operation)
· Proven experience using agile project management methods
· Proven experience balancing multiple priorities and dealing with ambiguity, working with multidisciplinary teams
· Excellent communication and client management skills.
· Must be a self-starter, who is able to work in a fast paced dynamic environment.
· Open for travel on demand as deemed necessary for the project delivery
· High level understanding of Java enterprise application architectures
· Hands on in problem identification and issue resolution
Skills / Knowledge competencies - Should have
· Should have familiarity with Agile Development, i.e. Scrum, Continuous Integration and Dev Ops concepts (automated deployments, monitoring/alerting etc.)
Early career experience as a developer/architect on J2EE projects dealing with large scale distributed systems, will be an added advantage
