Educational Qualification: Masters in Regional Planning / Urban Planning / Infrastructure Planning / Infrastructure Engineering & Management / Construction Management or equivalent
Minimum Years of Work Experience: 7 years
Relevant Work Experience Desired:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working on tourism projects for Central Govt / State Govt / PSU
- Minimum 4 years’ experience working in infrastructure planning including Infrastructure Master Plan / Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) / CDPs / Techno Economic Feasibility Report
Job Description:
The candidate shall be a part of the program management unit with tourism clients in the government sector. The team is providing strategic and program management support as well as helping draft and implement sectoral policies and facilitating investments and PPP in Karnataka’s tourism sector.
- Identify and assess potential PPP opportunities for tourism & infrastructure projects
- Develop project concepts on PPP and EPC including pre-feasibility study
- Develop detailed projects profiles and feasibility reports for PPP projects and investible tourism opportunities
- Develop investment profiles for tourism, hospitality, and infrastructure projects
- Design and implement strategies to attract domestic and international investments in tourism & infrastructure projects
- Conduct spatial and urban planning analysis to ensure sustainable and functional infrastructure development
- Develop strategies for optimizing land use and resource allocation for tourism & infrastructure projects
- Support in the preparation of RFQ / RFP / EOI and contract / concession agreement / MoUs
- Assist in evaluation bids, managing negotiations, and ensuring compliance with contract terms
- Support in review of DPRs, Feasibility Reports, and Techno-Economic Feasibility studies
- Develop frameworks to monitor and evaluate the progress and performance of projects
- Explore collaborations to expand the reach and impact of tourism initiatives in Karnataka
- Assist in the implementation of Karnataka Tourism Policy and Karnataka Tourism Vision
- Benchmarking and recommendation on best practices by government agencies and PSUs
- Coordinate across government agencies, especially for integration of technology offerings
- Support in reviews by State Government including PPPAC and SLSWA, Central Government particularly Ministry of Tourism, and IFIs
- Provide regular updates, reports, and presentations to stakeholders
