Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Lead - SAP SAC with Datasphere to lead advanced analytics initiatives and drive data-driven strategy across the organization. This role requires a deep understanding of SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and SAP Datasphere, along with strong leadership skills to guide a team of analysts and developers. The ideal candidate will work closely with senior stakeholders to deliver comprehensive data insights, enhance reporting capabilities, and optimize data integration strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Data Analytics Leadership:
  • Define and drive the data analytics strategy leveraging SAP SAC and Datasphere, aligning with the organization’s broader data vision and goals.
  • Act as the primary liaison with senior-level stakeholders to understand and address data analytics needs, offering insights that support strategic decision-making.
  • Project and Team Leadership:
  • Lead, mentor, and oversee a team of SAC and Datasphere developers, providing guidance on best practices, project timelines, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate project activities, from requirement gathering and planning through development and deployment, ensuring projects meet business requirements on time.
  • Advanced Data Modeling and Integration:
  • Develop and oversee advanced data models within SAP Datasphere, ensuring efficient data integration from SAP and non-SAP data sources.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability through robust integration and ETL processes.
  • Advanced Reporting and Visualization in SAC:
  • Lead the design and implementation of complex dashboards, reports, and analytics models in SAP SAC to provide in-depth insights across various business functions.
  • Use predictive analytics, planning, and machine learning within SAC to develop advanced analytics and drive business forecasting.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration and Management:
  • Engage with business and functional leaders to identify key data challenges, shape data requirements, and deliver solutions that address critical business needs.
  • Conduct regular workshops, training, and presentations for stakeholders to improve data literacy and promote effective SAC utilization.
  • Performance Optimization and Governance:
  • Establish best practices and standards for data performance, ensuring optimal load times and efficient data retrieval in SAC and Datasphere.
  • Drive data governance practices, ensuring secure, compliant, and efficient data usage throughout the organization.
  • Documentation and Continuous Improvement:
  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of documentation for data models, processes, and user guides.
  • Champion continuous improvement, incorporating feedback and industry advancements to refine SAC and Datasphere solutions.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), data visualization, and reporting.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with SAP Datasphere (formerly SAP Data Warehouse Cloud), data modeling, and integration.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing teams and large-scale data projects.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Expertise in data modeling, ETL processes, and integration within SAP environments.
  • Proficiency in SQL and data warehousing principles, with experience in cloud data platforms.
  • Familiarity with SAP HANA, SAP BW, or other SAP tools is a strong advantage.
  • Analytical Skills:
  • Advanced ability to analyze complex data sets, develop predictive models, and provide high-value insights.
  • Experience with machine learning concepts and predictive analytics within SAC is preferred.
  • Communication and Leadership Skills:
  • Strong leadership capabilities with excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex data concepts to senior stakeholders, fostering collaboration and alignment.

Preferred Skills

  • Certification in SAP SAC and/or SAP Datasphere.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and familiarity with project management tools like JIRA or Confluence.
  • Understanding of data governance, compliance, and security best practices.
