Summary:

The Food Technologist at Made by Earth LLP will play a critical role in ensuring that our products are of the highest quality, sustainably sourced, and compliant with industry standards. The successful candidate will lead the formulation, development, and improvement of health-based snacks, premium coffee, organic fruits and vegetables, and imported nutrient-dense foods. This role demands a strong understanding of food science, technology, and regulations to support our innovative product lines like Healo.co, Pickin Peas®, and Myle® Speciality Coffee.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Development:

  • Innovate and optimize new and existing health-based snacks, specialty coffee blends, and curated foods in alignment with Made by Earth's ethos and market needs.
  • Design product formulations to ensure nutritional value, taste, and quality.

Quality Assurance & Compliance:

  • Develop and maintain quality standards for all products, ensuring adherence to local and international food safety regulations.
  • Coordinate and conduct quality control testing, supplier audits, and product inspections.

Sustainability & Organic Standards:

  • Ensure that all organic fruits and vegetables meet certification requirements and are cultivated using sustainable farming practices.
  • Collaborate with sourcing teams to maintain transparency and traceability across the supply chain.

Research & Innovation:

  • Stay current with food industry trends, consumer preferences, and technological advancements.
  • Identify opportunities to integrate new ingredients, technologies, and processes into our product verticals.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with marketing, production, and sourcing teams to ensure product feasibility and alignment with branding strategies.
  • Provide technical guidance to production teams and suppliers for process optimization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in food product development, quality assurance, and/or compliance.
  • In-depth knowledge of local and international food safety regulations and standards.
  • Proven experience with organic certification processes and sustainable sourcing.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
