About the Role :

The SAP FICO Consultant is responsible for managing and configuring SAP's Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO) modules to ensure smooth financial transactions and reporting processes. The consultant will work with cross-functional teams to align SAP FICO with the company's business objectives and support finance departments in reporting, budgeting, and cost tracking.

Detailed Responsibilities :

- FI Configuration : Configure general ledger (GL), accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and asset accounting (AA) to match business processes.

- CO Configuration : Configure cost center accounting, internal orders, and profitability analysis to support decision-making.

- Cross-Module Integration : Work closely with SAP MM and SD for integrated financial data processing and ensure the data flows correctly between modules.

- Financial Reporting : Customize financial reporting requirements, including balance sheets, income statements, and regulatory reports, using SAP tools.

- Tax Configuration : Ensure that tax codes, tax reporting, and VAT/GST settings are accurate to comply with legal requirements.

- Audit & Compliance : Implement controls and processes to meet auditing standards and provide accurate, timely financial statements.

Required Skills & Experience

- SAP FICO Expertise : In-depth knowledge of SAP FI/CO module configuration and implementation.

- Financial Reporting : Expertise in designing and implementing financial reports within SAP.

- Cross-Module Integration : Experience integrating FICO with other SAP modules such as MM, SD, PP, and HR for seamless business processes.

Education and Certifications :

- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance : A degree in accounting, finance, or business administration.

- SAP FICO Certification : Certification in SAP FICO is highly beneficial.

- Professional Development : Knowledge of accounting standards and regulatory frameworks.

Technical Expertise :

- SAP Reporting Tools : Expertise in SAP reporting tools, such as SAP BW or SAP BusinessObjects, for financial reporting.

- Integration Tools : Proficiency in integration tools like ALE, IDocs, and BAPIs for seamless data flow between systems.

Behavioral and Soft Skills :

- Attention to Detail : Ability to focus on accuracy, ensuring financial records are correct.

- Team Collaboration : Experience working with cross-functional teams for system integration and troubleshooting.

- Analytical Skills : Strong analytical skills for diagnosing and resolving financial issues in the SAP system.
