Software Development Manager

Job Description We are seeking an accomplished Software Development Manager to oversee and drive end-to-end delivery management across multiple software and technology projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, customer satisfaction, and quality standards. The role requires strong leadership in planning, governance reporting, stakeholder management, and operational excellence to achieve on-time, within-budget, and high-quality delivery. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing large-scale, multi-project environments, mentoring project managers, Candidates with academic backgrounds in Computer Science, IT, Mechanical, or Production Engineering are preferred. Key Roles and Responsibilities Oversee and ensure smooth delivery of multiple concurrent projects, maintaining control over schedule, quality, and costs. Define and implement delivery governance frameworks and compliance checkpoints aligned with ISO standards. Establish L4-level project plans, milestones, and escalation mechanisms for proactive risk and dependency management. Drive on-time delivery performance, ensuring adherence to SLAs, timelines, and customer commitments. Lead and mentor project and delivery managers, promoting collaboration, accountability, and ownership across teams. Monitor and review project progress, budgets, and forecasts through structured governance reviews and dashboards. Partner with business, technology, and operations teams to align delivery outcomes with organizational goals. Manage key customer relationships and act as the primary escalation point for delivery-related issues. Coordinate with PMO for standardization of templates, metrics, and reporting formats. Drive continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and embedding best practices into future deliveries. Collaborate with HR and Resource Management for workforce planning, resource allocation, and capacity management. Prepare executive-level reports on delivery health, risks, and performance for leadership review. Requirements Minimum 12–15 years of experience in software delivery management, project/program governance, and client engagement. Proven expertise in managing multiple parallel technology projects with cross-functional teams (Development, QA, DevOps, UI/UX, etc.). Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and project management frameworks. Experience in delivery governance setup, dashboard reporting, and KPI-driven performance tracking. Knowledge of Full Stack Development technologies (React, Node.js, .NET Core, or Python) and exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS). Familiarity with data security, ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 compliance, and delivery audit practices. Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, MS Project, Azure DevOps, and Power BI for tracking and reporting. Strong leadership, decision-making, and stakeholder communication skills with the ability to handle executive-level discussions. Financial acumen to manage project P&L, budget forecasts, and cost optimization. Ability to manage complex delivery ecosystems and align cross-functional priorities. Willingness to work from client locations or on-site as required. Preferred Skills (Good to Have) PMP, Prince2, or Agile Coach Certification. Exposure to AI/Automation-driven delivery management or predictive analytics for project governance. Experience in client onboarding, pre-sales solutioning, and delivery handover management. Requirements Minimum 8-10 years of experience in software development, with at least 6 years in architecture or solution design roles. Expertise in architecture design, technology evaluation, and system integration. Strong understanding of Full Stack Development using modern frameworks (React, Angular, Node.js, .NET Core, Python, or Java). Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), cloud-native architectures, and deployment strategies. Experience in microservices, RESTful APIs, event-driven architecture, and integration with third-party platforms. Familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud, data connector frameworks is a plus. Strong exposure to CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). Understanding of data security, encryption, and compliance frameworks. Experience with architecture governance, documentation, and design reviews. Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to mentor development teams, review design decisions, and ensure architectural consistency. Preferred Skills (Good to Have) Cloud Architecture Certifications – AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert. PMP, TOGAF, or Agile Certification. Exposure to AI/ML-based architecture, automation frameworks, or data-driven analytics platforms. Experience with enterprise integration platforms, API gateways, or service mesh technologies. Prior experience in construction, engineering, or manufacturing domain solutions is an advantage.
