Through scientific publications, open-source software, AI for Good projects and the Cognizant Neuro® AI decisioning platform and Multi-Agent Accelerator, the AI Labs support our goal of improving everyday life.About the role:We are seeking a passionate and driven AI Research Scientist to join our Advanced AI R&D lab team in India. You will work with the Advanced AI Labs research team to develop novel approaches to solving fundamental scientific problems and challenges from real-world applications, using core technologies such as LLMs, evolutionary algorithms, and other machine learning and AI techniques. As an AI Research Scientist, you will focus on advancing the state-of-the-art AI with emphasis on Generative AI, LLMs, and domain specific AI solutions. You will collaborate with other researchers, engineers, business stakeholders, architects, and domain experts to translate research breakthroughs into scalable products and solutions.Detailed Job Description:Your role:As a research scientist, you will work with the Advanced AI Labs research team to understand and push the frontiers of AI, using core technologies such as LLMs, evolutionary algorithms, and other machine learning and AI techniques. The team's current research is focused around areas including, but not limited to:Multi-agent systemsAI for decision-makingAI orchestrationTrustworthy AIOpen-ended AILLMsEvolutionary computationKey Responsibilities:Conduct advanced research in AI/ML, Generative AI, LLMs, and adjacent fields to solve complex and impactful business and societal problems (AI-for-Good).Design, develop, and optimize models and algorithms involving novel architecture and training methodologies and advance AI capabilities.Publish research findings in top-tier peer-reviewed journals and conferences, e.g., IEEECollaborate cross-functionally with product teams, AI engineers, domain SMEs, and client teams to transition research prototypes into production ready solutionsContribute to open-source communities through active GitHub engagementStay abreast of the latest developmentsMentor junior researchers and engineersAdvise AI engineers on the development of practical applicationsYour Profile:PhD in Computer Science or another technical field. Exceptional bachelor’s or master’s degree candidates will also be considered.The ideal candidate will have theoretical and hands-on experience with LLMs.2 years of experience with multi-agents5+ years of experience in AI or ML researchPublications at venues such as IEEE, ICLR, NeurIPS, GECCO, ALife, AAAI, IJCAI, ICML, etc.Strong implementation skillsStrong development and debugging skills in PythonExperience with AI framework such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, LangChain, Keras, Scikit-LearnStrong problem-solving and analytic skillsStrong attention to detail and ability to work independentlyExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong publication record in top-tier conferences, workshops or journals.
