Roles & Responsibilities:

We are looking for a team member with experience in heading a mid-size chemical manufacturing Site.

The responsibilities revolve around four main heads. Safety is the most important and leading responsibility followed by production, quality and compliances.


SAFETY / ETP OPERATION:

  • Understand the safety needs and oversee implementation of systems.
  • Overseeing safety infrastructure, team, training and regular monitoring.


PRODUCTION:

  • Oversee all daily operations of the plant from production and manufacturing to ensuring policies and procedures are followed.
  • Responsible / Accountable for overall Operations (Like Production, QA, QC, Maintenance, ETP operation and EHS Administration function.)
  • Responsible for budget of sites from Operations Point of View.
  • Manpower planning / Labor Management (Direct & Contract).
  • Involvement in cost-effective alternatives and improvements to production processes.
  • Leading, managing, and monitoring the performance of team members to ensure adherence to timelines and milestones deliverables as per plan.
  • MIS Reports as per the management requirement.


GOVERNMENT DEPARTMENT LIASONING:

  • Responsible for all government compliances:

(Pollution Control Board, Factory Inspector, GIDC, FDA/GMP, Prohibition, Explosives, etc...)


QUALITY / AUDIT:

  • Understanding of quality systems (FDA/GMP, QMS, ISO)
  • Involvement in FSSAI,
  • Supervise the QA/QC Managers ensuring compliance with respective compliance.
  • Reviewing the operational practices, standard operating procedure, document control, calibration records,
  • Lead the site for External Audits / Internal Audits.


Desired profile of the candidate:

·        BE or BSc/MSc Chemistry with At least 15 years management experience of Heading the Chemical

Manufacturing Plant and operations.

·        Demonstrable experience with chemical plant safety.

·        Experience in GMP, FDA, ISO Compliant plant is a must.

·        Excellent understanding of Chemicals batch technology in a general-purpose multi-product environment

·        Experience in implementing change (Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma ideal) will be preferred.

·        Excellent people skills, natural team player and the ability to coach.

·        Experience in Liasoning with local bodies like pollution control board, FDA, Prohibition, etc

·        Experience in managing labor & labor contractors.


Above all team member must be a hand's-on manager who will gain the respect of the workforce supported by leadership qualities.
