Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled SDE 2 DevOps Engineer with strong development experience in Java or Python , or someone who has transitioned from a software development role into DevOps. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of software engineering and DevOps expertise, contributing to both system reliability and code quality. You will be responsible for building and maintaining the infrastructure and tools to support continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD), ensuring high availability, scalability, and automation of deployments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code (Java/Python).
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable seamless deployments and infrastructure automation.
  • Work closely with development teams to ensure proper integration of DevOps principles in software development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with developers to optimize and troubleshoot applications in a production environment.
  • Implement monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions to ensure high system availability and performance.
  • Automate system configurations, infrastructure provisioning, and deployments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
  • Manage and monitor cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) to ensure scalability, security, and cost optimization.
  • Provide insights on system architecture and help scale infrastructure to handle growing traffic.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system performance issues and outages.
  • Foster a DevOps culture by mentoring junior engineers and promoting best practices in software development, automation, and infrastructure management.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3-6 years of hands-on experience in software development (Java or Python) and DevOps practices.
  • Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and DevOps tools.
  • Proficiency in creating and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab, CircleCI, etc.
  • Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
  • Strong knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Proficient in scripting languages (Bash, Python, or similar) for automation tasks.
  • Experience in monitoring and logging solutions such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or similar.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts, system security, and high availability architectures.
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot production issues.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a software developer, with a transition into DevOps, would be highly advantageous.
  • Experience working with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
  • Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Understanding of software architecture and design patterns.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environments and manage multiple priorities.
