Overview The PayrollSpecialist plays a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timelyprocessing of payroll for employees as well as compliance withrelevant laws and regulations. They are instrumental in maintainingpayroll records and handling payrollrelated queries contributing tothe smooth operation of the organizations payrollfunction.Keyresponsibilities
  • Manage and processaccurate and timely payroll for employees including wagecalculations deductions and bonuses.
  • Ensurecompliance with payroll laws and regulations including taxobligations and reporting.
  • Prepare and maintainpayroll records and reports for auditing and compliancepurposes.
  • Respond to employee inquiries relatedto payroll taxes and benefits in a timely and professionalmanner.
  • Collaborate with HR and finance teamsto ensure seamless integration of payroll data andprocesses.
  • Stay updated on changes in payrolland tax laws to ensure the organizationscompliance.
  • Assist in the implementation andmaintenance of payroll software andsystems.
  • Conduct regular audits of payroll datato identify and resolve discrepancies orerrors.
  • Process employee terminations andrelated final payments in compliance with company policies andregulations.
  • Generate payrollrelated reportsfor management and regulatoryauthorities.
  • Participate in payrollrelatedprojects such as system upgrades and processimprovements.
  • Coordinate with external auditorsand tax authorities for payrollrelated inquiries andaudits.
  • Ensure confidentiality and security ofpayroll data and information.
  • Provide trainingand support to employees on payrollrelated matters such astimesheet management and expensereporting.
Requiredqualifications
  • Bachelors degree inAccounting Finance Business Administration or relatedfield.
  • Proven work experience as a PayrollSpecialist Payroll Clerk or in a similarrole.
  • Indepth knowledge of payroll processestax regulations and relevantlegislation.
  • Proficiency in using payrollsoftware and systems with experience in ADP Workday or similarplatforms preferred.
  • Strong understanding ofbenefits administration and related payrollimplications.
  • Excellent attention to detail andaccuracy in processing payroll data andcalculations.
  • Ability to prioritize and managetime effectively to meet payrolldeadlines.
  • Strong communication andinterpersonal skills to interact with employees management andexternal parties.
  • Keen analytical andproblemsolving abilities to identify and resolve payrollissues.
  • High level of integrity and ability tohandle sensitive and confidentialinformation.
  • Familiarity with generalaccounting principles andpractices.
  • Certification such as CertifiedPayroll Professional (CPP) is a plus.
  • Knowledgeof multistate payroll and international payroll processing isadvantageous.
  • Experience in process improvementand project management related to payroll isdesirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel fordata analysis and reportingpurposes.
