We are looking for a mechanical design engineer in Mumbai for a leading design consulting firm.

Requirements:1. Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering2. Minimum 10+ years of similar experience (preferably in Consultancy field).3. Knowledge of local codes (NBC, IS CODES ETC.)4. Working knowledge of Plumbing, Fire Fighting HVAC design systems with all relevantcalculation & system selection like DX, VRV, Chillers (Air cooled and water cooled) andAutoCAD.5. Strong knowledge of local & IS codes with very good written and verbal communicationskills in English is must.6. Candidate should have experience of handling a team of designers with technicalsupport. Should be good in client coordination, preferably be from Consultancybackground.Job responsibilities of the role:1. Monitor planning, designing and developing mechanical engineering services like Watersupply, Drainage, Firefighting & HVAC engineering services like Airconditioning &Ventilation.2. Manage Design Questionnaire, Space planning, Design basis/ concept report inconsultation with Electrical counterpart through the design team.3. Develop & design mechanical calculations, and Preparation of MOEF, supportdocuments like calculation as per the Authority drawing & Equipment schedules.4. Review of Plumbing, Fire Fighting & HVAC design drawings at all stages and developingSpecifications and BOQ of the same.5. Prepare presentations in power point for Client meetings.6. Should be able to communicate effectively at all levels to support collaborative workpractices.7. Maintain Customer focus and adhere to the Quality & Time.8. Apply technical knowledge to resolve the problems and willing to learn new skills.This position is responsible for leading Mechanical Design Engineers & Designers on variousprojects in development of design concepts, calculations, schemes and authority requireddocumentations.
