As a Cloud Security Engineer, you would work to
Responsibilities
Understand current and research new and upcoming cloud technologies with respect to security
Analyse current systems’ security stance, propose solutions to any existing deficiencies
Work with cloud engineers to validate security stance of new solutions
Participate in security red teaming/blue teaming
Work in a cross functional Devops team as the security expert
- Assist with monitoring of security logs including IDS/IPS, web application firewalls etc.
- Create and implement ongoing security review plans for cloud solutions
- Manage the use of 3rd party vulnerability tools for continuous assessment of HRsoft applications
- Continuously monitor networking configuration ensuring minimal attack surface
- Work with database and cloud engineering teams in disaster recovery testing
- Manage mock intrusion scenarios and create action plan documentation
- Monitor vulnerability mailing list/databases and alert application teams
- Assist with security audits, interface with customers/partners on security reviews
Interface with Customers and prospects : Act as a liaison with prospects, customers, and partners on security compliance matters and due diligence of our security stance.
Security Compliance Management : Ensure cloud solutions and Team members compliance with relevant security standards and regulations (SOC II etc.
Security Audits and Assessments : Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and compliance checks, and report findings to relevant stakeholders.
Third-Party Compliance : Assess and monitor the compliance of third-party vendors and partners with organizational security policies.
Incident Reporting and RCA preparation : Ensure that security incidents are properly documented and reported in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Policy and Procedure Development : Help maintain security policies, standards, and procedures aligned with compliance requirements.
Compliance Documentation : Maintain and update all necessary security and compliance documentation, including policies, risk assessments, and audit logs.
Awareness Training : Conduct security awareness training for teams to ensure compliance with security best practices and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Seeking a self-motivated, technical, results-oriented, and quality-focused individual
- Detail-oriented, thoughtful, respectful – a team player
- Proactive, great attention to detail, results-oriented problem solver.
- 3 + years of IT experience as engineer with coding/devops/web or network engineer background
- Strong experience with web technologies is a must ( REST, CDN, Load Balancing, etc)
- Strong experience with security architectures, network design
- Strong practical knowledge of AWS services including EC2, VPC, Route53
- Knowledge of vulnerability defence (OWASP Top 10 etc)
- Experience with AWS security services (GuardDuty, WAF, Backup, Inspector, Security Monkey)
- Experience with multi-account AWS organizations a plus
- Experience with cross-account VPCs a plus
- Experience with web server configuration a plus
- Experience with web application firewall configuration a plus (ModSecurity, AWS WAF)
- Hands-on programming skills in some of the following: Java/Python/Bash/Javascript/SQL
- Strong experience with Linux
- A Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
